Magic Weekend will return to Everton Football Club’s Hill Dickinson Stadium next July.
The 19th Super League Magic Weekend, with all Super League matches played over the weekend, will be broadcast live on Sky Sports on July 4th and 5th.
The Ashes Test, held earlier this month, drew a capacity crowd of 52,106 and made history as the first non-football event at Everton’s new home, the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
2025 Betfred Super League Champions Hull KR will take on strong local rivals Hull FC in the second of three games on Saturday 4th July.
And on Sunday 5th July, Bradford Bulls will take on Leeds Rhinos in a Magic Weekend for the first time since 2012, ending with a classic Super League blockbuster clash between Wigan Warriors and St Helens.
The weekend kicks off with York Knights making their magic debut against Huddersfield Giants, with the opening match culminating in Saturday night’s clash between Leigh Leopards and Warrington Wolves.
Sunday’s schedule begins with Wakefield Trinity v Castleford Tigers, followed by Leeds v Bradford and Wigan v Saints.
Kickoff times will be determined in due course, and plans are being considered for a Magic-only match in France, with the Catalan Dragons and Toulouse Olympique games to be played at a neutral venue across the Channel.
Rhodri Jones, Rugby League Commercial Managing Director, said: “This will be the seventh venue to stage Magic since it was introduced as a new concept for the sport in 2007. Our clubs, players and supporters are looking forward to it.”
“It is a fantastic stadium with excellent facilities at every level, in a fantastic location on the waterfront in the summer and within easy reach of Liverpool’s wide range of attractions.
“We look forward to enhancing the fan experience with a variety of hospitality offers that have been very popular among international players, and the plaza outside the stadium is perfect for the Magic.
“We continue to work with the Dragons and Toulouse on the possibility of holding a very special event in France as well, and we hope to make some announcements in this regard in the near future.”
