Aston Villa have signed striker Tammy Abraham from Besiktas in a deal worth £18.2m.
Abraham, who has 11 England caps, spent the 2018/19 season on loan at Villa Park before returning to the club and helping the club win promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.
The forward moved from Chelsea to Roma in 2021, was loaned to AC Milan last season and has been on loan to Besiktas this season, scoring 12 goals in all competitions.
Reluctant to part with Abraham, the Turkish side had to pay Roma £11.2 million to sign the striker on a permanent contract before being prepared to sell him to Villa for a further £7 million.
Abraham has not played in the Premier League since leaving Chelsea in 2021.
The striker, who will compete with Olly Watkins for a place in Unai Emery’s side, is also the latest player on a long-term deal between Villa and Roma.
Villa allowed Leon Bailey to join the Serie A side on loan at the start of the season, but have since recalled the winger, brought in Donyell Malen on a permanent deal this month and have now signed Abraham.

Aston Villa have also reached a verbal agreement to re-sign Douglas Luiz on loan from Juventus.
Once the paperwork is completed, he will join Villa on loan with an option to buy in the summer.
The midfielder was determined to return to Villa despite interest from Chelsea.
He wanted to return to where he felt he had spent the happiest time of his career.
Sky Sports News report that he feels his heart is still at Villa and this was the move he really wanted.
Villa have moved to sign a midfielder due to injuries to Boubacar Kamara, John McGinn and Youri Tielemans.
