Palantir moves its headquarters from Denver to Miami

Palantir The company announced Tuesday in a post on social media platform X that it will be moving its headquarters from Denver to Miami.

The software analytics company is the latest large company to move to South Florida as management seeks to transform the region into an innovation hub. Palantir did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the reason for the move.

Florida offers a tax-friendly environment and has welcomed a wave of billionaires in recent years. California is considering a 5% wealth tax on residents with a net worth of more than $1 billion, and the number of executives in the region is increasing.

meta platform CEO Mark Zuckerberg has reportedly bought a mansion in Florida, and Palantir co-founder Peter Thiel has set up an office in Miami.

Palantir was founded in 2003 in Palo Alto, California and moved to Denver in 2020. CEO Alex Karp previously spoke about Silicon Valley culture.

“Our company was founded in Silicon Valley, but it seems increasingly we share the values ​​and commitments of the technology sector,” he said in a 2020 letter.

Major technology companies are also building larger hubs in the region. ServiceNow In September, the company announced it would add office space in West Palm Beach. Ken Griffin’s hedge fund, Citadel, is also based in Miami.

Palantir said it had 4,429 full-time employees at the end of last year, with large offices in Palo Alto, New York City, Washington, D.C., and London.

Palantir also leases space in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, according to the company’s website.
