There is movement in the stocks of the Magnificent Seven Group.

shares of alphabetShares of Google’s parent company rose 2.4% on Wednesday, giving the company a market capitalization of $3.89 trillion. meanwhile, appleThe company (the parent of the iPhone, so to speak) fell 0.8% to end the day with $3.85 trillion in capital.

It’s the first time since 2019 that Alphabet has overtaken Apple in valuation, another sign of how the Cupertino-based company is lagging in the artificial intelligence race. Apple had promised to release its smarter AI voice assistant, Siri, in 2025, but that has been postponed and no specific release date has been announced yet.

Meanwhile, Alphabet’s rapid introduction of new AI models and generators has drawn more user and investor cheer, making it the best-performing Big Tech stock last year.

On a more literal level, the movement was a point of contention. tesla and Nvidia. The semiconductor giant’s CEO Jensen Huang unveiled Alpamayo, an AI inference model for self-driving car development, at the CES conference on Monday.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk acknowledged that this “may be competitive pressure on Tesla,” but added that the challenger will be “for five or six years, probably longer.”

In fact, this isn’t the first time Musk has fired a competitor. “I don’t think[BYD]has a great product,” he said in an October 2011 interview. In 2025, BYD It has surpassed Tesla to become the world’s largest electric vehicle seller.
