My Top 10 Noteworthy Thursday, November 13th

1. Dow This morning I was heading to the lower level open. The 30-stock average closed above 48,000 shares for the first time. futures tied to S&P500 and NasdaqI wasn’t so lucky with my record yesterday, but I was planning to open lower than this. A new trading day begins after President Donald Trump signed legislation last night ending a record 43-day government shutdown.

2. disney It reported a mixed quarter, with higher profits but no revenue growth. Following the announcement, the club’s shares fell by more than 5.5%. Entertainment segment revenue fell 6%. Streaming was up 8%, while linear TV was down 16%. On a bright note, Disney+ added 3.8 million subscribers for a total of 131.6 million, beating expectations. The sports division, which includes ESPN, grew 2%. The experiential category, which includes parks, grew 6%.

3. apple According to Bloomberg, the company has reached an agreement with China-based Tencent that will allow the iPhone maker to receive 15% of purchases made within WeChat mini-games and apps. The fee agreements with China’s vast messaging, social media, gaming and payments platforms are about half of what Apple typically takes.

4. Cisco Systems The stock soared more than 6% after closing the beat-and-raise quarter last night. The price target was raised from $78 to $85. It was another fiscal quarter of the year for the company with double-digit order growth. Cisco is firing on almost all cylinders. We will discuss Cisco and the remaining stocks in the club’s portfolio in more detail at our November monthly meeting at noon ET.

5. microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said the company plans to use OpenAI’s access to custom AI semiconductor development to support its chip strategy. OpenAI and broadcom We also plan to collaborate on custom designs for chips and network hardware. Microsoft and Broadcom are each owned by the club.

6. Susquehanna raises price target for club name Nvidia The stock rose from $210 to $230 and maintained a buy rating. Analysts said the chip stock has further upside, citing CEO Jensen Huang’s recent comments that the company has secured more than $500 billion in orders for its Blackwell and next-generation Rubin chips by 2026. NVIDIA is scheduled to release its quarterly results next week.

7. Wells Fargo raised its price target. nike Visibility into revenue and margin progress is “finally improving,” he said, raising the price to $75 from $60. Analysts estimate that the club name will see revenue growth of 3% to 4% when it finishes fiscal year 2026. Wedbush analysts maintained their Buy rating and $920 price target, suggesting an upside of more than 50% from yesterday’s closing price of $609. Our PT is a little more conservative at $825.

9. flutter, FanDuel’s parent company reported a revenue shortfall and lowered its guidance. On paper, the stock was down about 3.5%. Flutter also announces partnership with derivatives marketplace CME Group To launch a new prediction market platform. “We’re going to spend a lot of money in a disciplined way,” CEO Peter Jackson told me on “Mad Money” last night.

10. Big call: Bank of America increases fedex Analysts raised their price target to $285 from $270 after meeting with the shipping giant’s new chairman Brad Martin, CEO Raj Subramaniam, chief financial officer John Dietrich and others. Executives said business has rebounded even during the government shutdown.
