Here are the stocks that made headlines during intraday trading: Simply Good Foods — The Atkins diet food maker fell 19% after reported fiscal second-quarter sales and adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization, and fiscal third-quarter guidance for sales and EBITDA were significantly below Wall Street consensus estimates, according to FactSet data. Brown-Forman — The maker of Jack Daniel’s whiskey soared 12% after the Wall Street Journal reported that Sazerac approached the spirits company about a possible deal. The report comes two weeks after Brown-Forman confirmed it was in talks with Pernod Ricard about a merger of equals. GitLab — Digital Workshop for Building Software fell nearly 7%. GitLab was downgraded from acquisition to neutral at the Guggenheim Museum, highlighting AI risks, lack of near-term catalysts, and slow to maintain net revenue, according to FactSet. Software Stocks — Software stocks suffered a second straight day of declines after Anthropic rolled out Claude Managed Agents, a platform for deploying AI agents. The iShares Expanded High-Tech Software Sector ETF (IGV) fell nearly 4%. Cloudflare fell 11% and Okta fell more than 7%. CrowdStrike fell 5%. Marvell Technology — The semiconductor maker soared 5% to a 52-week high after Barclays upgraded Marvell from equal weight to overweight. The bank also raised its price target on the stock to $150 from $105, suggesting a 31% upside from Wednesday’s closing price. Metaplatform — The tech giant saw its stock rise 4% after the first major new AI model in more than a year arrived this week. Meanwhile, Meta has committed to spending an additional $21 billion on CoreWeave’s AI cloud infrastructure, on top of the $14.2 billion pre-arranged. Amazon — Shares rose 5% after the e-commerce giant announced its pharmacy division will distribute Eli Lilly’s oral GLP-1 pill Foundayo in more than 3,000 cities through a same-day delivery service. Amazon announced that it expects that total to grow to 4,500 cities by the end of 2026. “The dedicated capacity will be deployed across multiple locations and will include part of the initial deployment of the NVIDIA Vera Rubin platform. This distributed approach is designed to optimize the performance, resiliency, and scalability of Meta’s AI operations,” CoreWeave said in the release. Constellation Brands — The maker of Modelo and Corona rebounded from earlier declines to rise more than 6% on the day. Constellation reported fourth-quarter earnings of $1.90 per share and net sales of $1.92 billion, beating LSEG’s consensus calls for earnings of $1.72 per share and sales of $1.88 billion. However, the company withdrew its 2028 outlook, citing uncertainty and “subdued” demand. Texas Instruments — Shares rose nearly 3% after Stifel upgraded the chipmaker from hold to buy. The investment firm said Texas Instruments is benefiting from several tailwinds supporting Texas Instruments’ outlook, including the end of the recent capital spending cycle and growth in its data center business. Starar Surgical — The implantable ophthalmic lens maker soared about 27% after reporting first-quarter sales of more than $90 million. That’s significantly higher than the $67.6 million expected by analysts surveyed by FactSet. Zscaler — This cloud security company has been downgraded from acquisition to neutral by BTIG and removed from BTIG’s H1 2026 top picks list. The company expects its outlook to be more cautious going forward. The stock price fell about 9%. —CNBC’s Sarah Ming, Fred Imbert, Davis Giangiulio, Yun Li, Scott Schnipper and Darla Mercado contributed reporting.
