Meta’s stock price has fallen 16% in the past 12 months due to concerns that the company is investing too much in artificial intelligence. In its fourth-quarter earnings report in January, the company predicted that AI-related capital spending would total between $115 billion and $135 billion in 2026.

“We believe concerns about META’s AI-related spending initiatives have led to an underestimation of the company’s long-term upside potential from AI,” Pershing said in the presentation.
