The Nasdaq 100 is up 21.2% this year. The S&P 500 index is up 17.3% since the beginning of the year. The New York Stock Exchange Composite Index will rise about 16% in 2025. The small-cap Russell 2000 is up 12.1% this year. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 13.7% since the beginning of the year. .IXIC YTD Mountain 2025 Nasdaq Composite Index 2025 Top Stocks Western Digital will be the winner in 2025 with an increase of about 291%. Second is Micron Technology. The stock is up 248% since the beginning of the year. If you had put your money into Seagate Technology at the beginning of 2025, it would have appreciated approximately 225%. Bottom Stocks of 2025 Year-to-date, The Trade Desk is down 67.6%. Fiserv will fall 67.1% in 2025. Alexandria Real Estate is down 49.3% this year. TTD YTD Mountain Trade Desk Sectors in 2025 As we enter the final day of the year, Telecommunications Services is at the top of the list, rising approximately 33% in 2025. Information technology will rise 24% this year. Industrial stocks have risen 18.7% since the beginning of the year. The financial sector will increase by 14.2% in 2025. This year, the utilities sector will increase by 13.4%. Healthcare has increased 13.2% year-to-date. The materials sector is up 9.5% this year. Consumer discretion will increase by 6.2% in 2025. Energy is up 5.5% year-to-date. The consumer staples sector will rise about 2% in 2025. Real estate is up 0.7% for the year. The 2025 Overseas iShares MSCI South Korea ETF (EWY) is targeting an increase of approximately 94% in 2025. iShares MSCI Europe Financials ETF (EUFN) is aiming for a 60% gain in 2025. The iShares MSCI Mexico ETF (EWW) is targeting an increase of 48.4% in 2025. EUFN YTD Mountain iShares MSCI 2025 European Financials ETF (EUFN) Wall Street Analysts’ Top Picks and Performance in 2025 Of the stocks Wall Street analysts were watching at the beginning of the year, Robinhood is up about 209% in 2025. Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs were early supporters. Lam Research will rise about 141% in 2025. Earlier this year, TD Cowen analysts said they were buying the stock. Citigroup rose 66.5%. Goldman Sachs was an early member of Citigroup. Bath & Body Works, which Wall Street analysts predicted to be the top stock in 2025 early on and a poor performer, has fallen about 48% this year. Duolingo will drop 45.4% in 2025. PayPal is down 30% year-to-date.
