Jared Anderson will make his first British boxing appearance on May 9th in Manchester.
The American heavyweight is on the verge of signing a contract with Queensberry Promotions and will next face Daniel Dubois in the UK on the undercard of Fabio Wardley’s world title defense.
The deal is a co-promotion with Top Rank and is expected to be announced this week.
Anderson is one of the best young American heavyweights, with just one loss in 19 professional fights.
Veteran title contender Martin Bacall scored a knockout win over Anderson in 2024, but made a comeback last year with a 10-round points win over Marios Kolias.
Anderson himself is a formidable puncher, with 15 of his 18 professional wins coming within range.
He has previously defeated former world champion Charles Martin and defeated Jerry Forrest, Andriy Rudenko and George Arias with quick finishes.
Anderon is currently ranked sixth by the WBO and may aim to force a final challenge for the world championship between Britain’s Wardley and Dubois, who will meet at Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena in May.
Wardley is coming off a career-best win over Joseph Parker, while Dubois is looking to return to world title action after losing an undisputed championship bout to Oleksandr Usyk last July.
Watch Dubois-Harper Bills and Scotney Flores Bills live on Sky Sports on Sunday, April 5th.
