Successfully launched Muse AI agent, meta is currently pushing new artificial intelligence services into the business world.

Meta on Tuesday announced Muse for Small Business, which connects agents to popular enterprise software such as Asana, Zoom, Intuit, Box, Canva and Salesforce’s Slack. Agents can also link to meta advertising accounts and professional Instagram and Facebook profiles.

The company didn’t provide pricing details, but at the bottom of the blog post it mentioned the existing Muse app, which is free with limited usage and available on a subscription basis beyond that.

The news follows the company’s announcement Monday that it will hire MongoDB CEO CJ Desai to take over its operations and launch a new enterprise platform. This platform includes Muse agents, business agents, and coding tools.

Meta has had a strong month on Wall Street, with its stock up 25% in September, but has seen some selling off over the past two trading days. Following the September 8th rollout of Muse, the momentum rose to the top. apple’s Exceeding App Store and ChatGPT. Evercore’s Mark Mahaney told CNBC that he expects Muse to reach 100 million users within six to 12 months.

“Give Muse a goal, whether it’s running your business or finding new customers, and it can accomplish it,” the company said in a post Tuesday.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who has long relied on digital advertising for nearly all of the company’s revenue, has been hard at work finding business opportunities in AI, especially after paying billions of dollars last year to top AI talent, most notably Scale AI founder Alexander Wang to lead the company’s efforts. Wang’s group began launching new AI models under the Muse Spark family in April.

At MetaConnect last week, Zuckerberg described Muse as a “central part” of his AI strategy.

Meta’s latest announcement comes at the same time as OpenAI holds a developer day. This is the latest sign that the company intends to take on OpenAI and its enterprise rival Anthropic.

The social media giant already has a strong foothold when it comes to small businesses, with 200 million small businesses now on Facebook, the company said.

“Small businesses have been using our apps to grow for nearly 20 years,” Mehta said in a blog post. “They told us they didn’t have enough time, not ideas. So we built Muse for Small Business to help them get the job done using the tools they already use.”
