human will invest $100 million in an academy to train AI talent and work with companies to integrate artificial intelligence into their operations.

The investment will fund a program called the Claude Frontier Academy, which aims to train 10,000 “frontier contingent engineers” from companies participating in Anthropic’s Claude Partner Network by the end of 2027, the company said in a press release Friday.

engineer from Accenture, morgan stanley, novo nordisk And many top consulting companies are included in the first group. According to Anthropic, the program grew out of Anthropic’s efforts to partner with businesses in implementing Claude.

“We’re hearing from our customers and partner organizations that they need more people who are familiar with enterprise technology and business context and can combine that with the highest levels of AI fluency to solve the problems they need to solve,” Shambhavi Shambhavi, director of partnership strategy and operations at Anthropic, told CNBC.

Anthropic is in the midst of a massive expansion as companies around the world race to deploy its AI tools across business units. The company reportedly plans to go public later this year and could aim for a market capitalization of $2 trillion. Reuters reported earlier this week, citing a leaked copy of the IPO prospectus, that Anthropic had revenue of about $4.6 billion last year but posted an operating loss of more than $8 billion.

The training program begins with an intensive “Enterprise Deployment Simulation” with step-by-step assessments. Successful candidates enter training following a medical education model, where software engineers learn from instructors and practice casework before being evaluated and certified. The first engineers are expected to be certified in early 2027.

“Claude Frontier Academy trains our people the same way our own engineers learn, and we want our graduates to set the standard for how AI is built within businesses,” Steve Corfield, global head of business development and partnerships at Anthropic, said in a release.

This announcement comes as demand for AI engineering expertise surges across multiple industries. The financial industry has seen a surge in hiring for forward deployment engineers and other AI-related roles this year, according to Draup data provided exclusively to CNBC.

—CNBC’s Ashley Capoot contributed reporting.
