human announced Tuesday it is expanding its Claude Startups program, the Artificial Intelligence Institute’s latest initiative to deepen connections with founders and fast-growing companies.

Anthropic says Claude Startups was founded in May and already has thousands of companies on board. The company is opening up the program to more organizations, giving members access to thousands of dollars worth of Anthropic’s Claude products and credits to help them build.

“Startups are often the first to push Claude to the limit,” Beth Robertson, head of startups at Anthropic, told CNBC in a statement. “Once the new model ships, you’ll be ready to tackle projects that previously seemed out of reach the same day. Claude Startups provides founders with credit, tools, and direct time with our team, so more companies can build this way from the beginning.”

The bulk of Anthropic’s revenue comes from enterprise customers, and the company has spent much of the last year fending off rivals such as: OpenAI and googleboth offer unique programs for startups. As it prepares for what is widely expected to be a blockbuster initial public offering, Anthropic is working to ensure the next generation of its business is built using its products.

Claude Startup members can receive up to $45,000 worth of discounts and credits through the Claude Startup Stack. Anthropic describes it as “a suite of perks for startups to run tools.” Additionally, eligible organizations will have access to a one-time $1,000 Application Programming Interface (API) credit and a free year of Claude Team with up to five premium seats.

Anthropic said members will also be able to meet with its applied AI team through virtual office hours and connect with other members of the Claude Startup community at events.

Anthropic said startups founded within the past five years or raised within the past two years can apply.
