On Tuesday, Anthropic announced the expansion of its Claude for Startups program, offering eligible businesses subsidized access to AI models and a variety of other benefits.

Launched as part of Anthropic’s SF Tech Week event, the new version of the program offers a free year of Claude Team, Anthropic’s paid plan for groups, with up to five premium seats and $1,000 in API credits to build with Claude. Businesses will also have access to the Claude Marketplace where they can build plugins for the service. Businesses can also schedule virtual office hours with Anthropic’s Applied AI team.

“We created this program because we believe the benefits of AI reach most people not through models alone, but through the companies that build on them,” Anthropic said in the announcement. “That’s why working closely with founders and developers is central to our mission.”

Companies that have been founded in the past five years or have received funding in the past two years are eligible. Interested companies can apply via the Claude for Startups program page.
