To attract more subscribers, the company, now known as SpaceX Super Intelligence, is bundling all of its subscriptions, including X Premium, Grok, and Cursor, into one plan simply called “X Subscription.”
The idea is that a combined service could potentially attract more subscribers than a single subscription, given the competitive paid AI subscription market that SpaceXSI faces with rivals like OpenAI, Anthropic and others.
With an X subscription, users get access to Grok for AI-powered chat with support for audio, images, video, and APIs. You also get paid features that come with an X Premium subscription, including Grok’s agent AI bot, Cursor for AI coding, blue verified checkmarks, creator tools, and reduced ads.
The new subscription comes in five plans: Free, Plus ($8/month), Premium ($30/month), Super ($100/month), and Ultra ($200/month), with increasing AI usage limits as you move up the tiers. The free plan limits the use of chat and agents, and requires Premium or higher to access the latest Grok models.
For existing X Premium+ subscribers, there’s another attraction. The company notes that comparable plans for the new X subscription will cost the same or less.
Existing users can upgrade to the new bundle or keep their current plan from their X subscription settings. Upgrade options will be rolled out gradually, so interested customers should be aware of their billing preferences for upgrade benefits.
