Caitlin Clark has signed a multi-year contract with Dick’s Sporting Goods and Foot Locker. This agreement marks the first time either brand has partnered with an individual male or female athlete.
As part of the partnership with the sports retailer, Clark will work with both brands on custom promotions to support her signature footwear, apparel and product lines. She will also be participating in activations and community events.
The new agreement follows the global launch of Nike and Clark’s first signature shoe on October 1st, making it the company’s largest women’s signature shoe launch in its history. This release also includes an assortment of 18 pieces of apparel.
The shoe received widespread acclaim and attracted strong consumer demand, with inventory selling out within hours on Nike.com and other sneaker retail sites.

Clark pointed to the brand’s deep roots in sports and basketball and its ability to connect with fans around the world.
“When I was a kid, I always stopped by Dick’s Sporting Goods before the sports season started,” Clark said in a statement. “Being the first-ever brand partner for both them and Foot Locker is a truly special full-circle moment.”
The partnership with Clark also marks the first joint athlete partnership between Dick’s and Foot Locker, both companies. Both Dick’s Sporting Goods and Foot Locker have previously worked with athletes on marketing campaigns, in-store events and other initiatives, but never on a brand level.
Ed Stack, Dick’s CEO, said he looks forward to building on the energy Clark brings to the game of basketball and reaching new fans.
“This partnership provides a new way to unite around a shared passion for sport and the possibilities it creates,” he said in a statement.
Even after the Indiana Fever was eliminated in the first round of the WNBA Playoffs, Clark remains one of the WNBA’s biggest stars. She hasn’t won a title yet.
Clark is the most marketable player in today’s WNBA and the 15th most marketable athlete in the world, according to SportsPro’s recently released Marketability Rankings.
Clark has long-term sponsorship deals with several other major brands, including Nike, Wilson, Gatorade, State Farm, and Panini.
“Caitlin’s influence extends far beyond the court. She captivated fans, inspired a new generation and brought new energy to the game,” said Brett O’Brien, Foot Locker North America’s senior vice president and chief marketing officer.
