Adobe has been aggressively adding AI capabilities to all of its products over the past few years. The company is currently adding more AI tools to Acrobat, including generating podcast summaries for files, creating presentations, and the ability for users to edit files using prompts.

Last year, the company launched Adobe Spaces, a collection of files and notes that can be accessed by multiple users. Now, Adobe is enabling users to use the information stored in these files and notes to create presentations with text prompts.

For example, if your space has financial details, product planning, and competitive analysis available to users, you can create pitch decks for clients that focus on why your product solves a problem better than your competitors.

Acrobat’s AI assistant first generates an editable presentation with the points you want to cover in your deck. You can then create presentations using Adobe Express theme libraries, stock photos, or your own images. Plus, you can easily apply branded themes and edit individual slides using Express.

Tools like Canva and NotebookLM already offer the ability to convert documents into presentations. Additionally, new startups are also working on using AI to help people create presentations from a variety of sources.

Adobe also allows users to create podcasts that summarize files or spaces within Acrobat. In particular, tools like Google’s NotebookLM, Speechify, and Elemental Labs’ Reader app allow users to create personalized podcasts using a variety of notes and documents.

Acrobat also now has the ability for users to edit files using prompts. The company says users can perform 12 actions, including deleting pages, text, comments, and images. Find and replace words and phrases. Add your electronic signature and password.

Acrobat already had a sharing feature with Spaces, but when you share a file with someone, that file will contain an AI-generated summary and a citation pointing to the exact location in the file. Contributors can also comment on files and add or remove content.

Additionally, users can use the default AI assistant or choose other assistant roles such as “Analyst,” “Entertainer,” and “Instructor.” You can also create custom assistants using prompts.
