Iran said it had targeted US military infrastructure in the Gulf in retaliation for US airstrikes and the resumption of Iranian port blockades.

CNN cannot independently verify Iran’s claims. Although the military and state media have repeatedly claimed they were successful in targeting U.S. assets, this has been proven untrue, and CNN has reached out to U.S. Central Command for comment.

Iran’s claims regarding its military actions in the Gulf are as follows:

• Kuwait: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) attacked a U.S. military logistics and support center in Mina Abdullah, Kuwait, early Wednesday morning local time and claimed to have set the building on fire, Iran’s semi-official Tasnim News reported.

Video geolocated by CNN shows Iranian drones attacking an already burning warehouse in an industrial area near Mina Abdullah, Kuwait. It is unclear whether the building where the fire broke out has any ties to the United States.

Late Tuesday local time, Kuwait firefighters extinguished a fire “caused by a hostile Iranian air attack,” the state-run Kuwait News Agency reported, without specifying where the fire started.

• Bahrain: The Revolutionary Guards claimed to have targeted command and control centers, warehouses and fuel storage facilities used by the US 5th Fleet, state media IRNA reported. Earlier, the Revolutionary Guards claimed to have “destroyed” a US unmanned boat control center in an attack on Bahrain, the semi-official Fars news agency said.

• Jordan: According to Iranian state news agency IRNA, Iranian forces claimed to have attacked a US military facility at Jordan’s al-Azraq Air Base. It claimed that Iranian attack drones struck an area where F-18 fighter jets were stationed, a hostel building, and a large equipment hangar that IRNA said belonged to the U.S. military. F-18 jets are typically stationed on aircraft carriers and not at bases in the Middle East.

The Revolutionary Guard also said its air force had “destroyed” a US military MQ-9 drone at the base, according to the semi-official Firth news agency.

CNN’s Hira Humayun, Kathleen Magramo, Eyad Kurdi, Isaac Yi and Yasha Saebi contributed reporting.
