microsoft Co-founder Bill Gates is scheduled to attend the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee’s briefing on Jeffrey Epstein on June 10, according to people familiar with the matter, who asked not to be identified because the court appearance has not been announced.

Gates is one of several people who have agreed to be interviewed by the oversight committee about their dealings with notorious sex offender Epstein, who committed suicide in a New York prison in August 2019.

In February, Gates apologized to Gates Foundation officials for his association with Epstein and admitted to having had affairs with two Russian women known to Epstein, The Wall Street Journal previously reported. “I didn’t do anything illegal. I didn’t see anything illegal,” Gates said at the same event, according to the newspaper.

His press conference comes a day after the committee had scheduled a meeting with Leslie Groff, Epstein’s former executive assistant, a person familiar with the matter said.

Another billionaire, Ted Waite, has also agreed to testify on April 30, the people said. Mr. Waite was a co-founder of the Gateway Computer Company.

Tovah Noel, a federal corrections officer who was working at Epstein’s prison at the time of his suicide, agreed to be interviewed on May 18, officials said.

Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick is scheduled to appear before the committee on May 6th for a separate briefing on Epstein.
