President Donald Trump posted a series of AI-generated images and a series of broad, unverified claims on Truth Social on Sunday. That included statements that he had made hundreds of billions of dollars in U.S. stocks and other holdings.
The 80-year-old commander-in-chief spent more than 10 hours on Sunday posting dozens of images that appeared to be AI-generated on social media platforms. The posts included a depiction of Iran’s defeat, a depiction of President Trump riding a horse with George Washington, and an apparently AI-generated image of Robert De Niro holding a shirt that says “Trump is my president.”
One AI image shows the president sitting in front of multiple monitors in the White House tracking the stock market, with the caption reading: “I’m not doing it for myself, I’m doing it for this country. I’ve made hundreds of billions of dollars in stocks and many other stocks, not for myself but for America. And all I do is get criticized by the radical left Democrats. Very unfair, but what can you do!” The post offered no evidence of that claim.
Trump previously came under fire for launching Truth API, a $100,000-a-month Truth Social feature that provides early access to announcements on policy decisions that could move financial markets. In July, U.S. senators asked the Securities and Exchange Commission to investigate whether Trump Media, Truth Social’s parent company, violated applicable federal securities laws with the Truth API.
The president is no stranger to posting AI-generated content, and has done so frequently during the ongoing U.S.-Iran war, including one that showed him holding a gun against the backdrop of an explosion and the words, “No more Mr. Nice Guy!”
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment seeking further details about the images.

Trump, who built his political brand around the slogan “Make America Great Again,” is calling for a reaffirmation of American power at home and abroad.
His series of AI-powered posts also included images depicting objects such as natural and celestial landmarks, including countries, territories, and U.S. possessions and territories.
One AI image shows the Strait of Hormuz as a “new U.S. territory,” and another shows New Mexico as the “new America.”
In another post, the moon is shown with the words “The Moon is Ours” and an American flag next to it. In another post, an image labels Lake Ontario, where the U.S.-Canada border is currently divided, as “American Lake.”
This comes after President Trump signed an executive order directing the federal government to change the name of Lake Ontario to “American Lakes.” Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said at the time that Canada would continue to call it Lake Ontario.
