President Donald Trump disclosed more than 1,100 securities trades made on his behalf in July, each involving up to $25 million. microsoft and Amazon Stocks fell as his vast investment portfolio suffered another month of heavy trading.
A CNBC analysis of President Trump’s latest financial disclosures shows 1,156 transactions totaling between about $79 million and $270 million. According to CNBC calculations, the total purchase price was at least $43.6 million and the total sales amounted to at least $35.6 million, which appears to be a major reshuffling of his portfolio.
The largest deals were for Microsoft and Amazon, each with sales between $5 million and $25 million on July 20, according to the filing. Three days later, Trump reported buying Microsoft for $100,100 to $250,000 and Amazon for $1,001 to $15,000.
Even in the same July 20th entry, oracle and other companies to make a series of new purchases in parallel. Tech stocks enjoyed a boom on July 20th, increasing their market capitalization by $291 billion in one day.
The filings show activity on Trump’s behalf, but the wide range of prices makes it unclear exactly how much he holds. Still, hard trade was a feature of his second term. In June, President Trump disclosed 1,051 transactions totaling between $78.1 million and $263.1 million, including buying and selling stocks, bonds, and ETFs.
The president’s 2025 annual financial disclosure showed more than 21,000 securities transactions in eight accounts holding at least $858 million, compared to 86 stock transactions disclosed in his first year in office in 2017.
The White House and Trump Organization did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the disclosure.
The White House has repeatedly defended the deal, saying independent advisers were managing the accounts without Trump’s input. But these days, presidents typically sell individual stocks or rely on blind trusts or fund diversification to avoid even the appearance of a conflict of interest.
