WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis has been issued an arrest warrant by Miami police on suspicion of domestic violence.

The warrant was issued on charges of false imprisonment, assault and attempted kidnapping, and Miami Gardens police confirmed Wednesday that they are working with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force to find Davis.

“As a result of the diligent and diligent work of the Special Victims Unit, an arrest warrant has been issued for Gervonta Bryant Davis on charges of assault, false imprisonment, and attempted kidnapping,” police said in a statement.

“The investigation revealed that Mr. Davis used force to restrain the victim against her will and attempted to remove her from the premises.

“Miami Gardens Police Department is actively working with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force to locate and apprehend Mr. Davis.”

The arrest warrant was issued after Davis’ ex-girlfriend, Courtney Rossell, filed a lawsuit against him in October.

Davis was scheduled to fight YouTuber Jake Paul in Miami on November 14, but the fight was canceled following domestic violence allegations.

The 31-year-old has held the WBA lightweight title since 2023 and is undefeated in 30 fights.
