Manchester City host Brentford as they look to keep the pressure on league leaders Arsenal on Saturday Night Football, live on Sky Sports.

Man City are second in the Premier League, five points behind Arsenal, after a 3-3 draw with Everton in their final game on Monday night.

Brentford are seventh in the table with 51 points, one point behind sixth-placed Bournemouth.

If Aston Villa win the Europa League final on May 20 and finish fifth, sixth place could qualify them for next season’s Champions League.

The last meetings between the two teams this season saw Manchester City beat Brentford 1-0 in the league in October, while Pep Guardiola’s side won 2-0 in the Carabao Cup in December.

Man City vs Brentford odds and score prediction

Sky Sports’ Lewis Jones…

Manchester City can’t afford to make mistakes now.

A win is essential in every game to keep Arsenal top of the table, and you would normally expect them to shake off most of the crowd at the Etihad under so much pressure. However, some cracks have emerged that make this a little more interesting from a betting perspective.

City conceded the equivalent of 2.72 expected goals against Everton, the fifth-most in a Premier League game under Josep Guardiola and their worst defensive performance in a game since 2024. This isn’t something you see often, and it suggests the team is finding ways to seize opportunities.

Igor Thiago has been attracting attention this season by scoring 22 goals in the Premier League, the most ever by a Brazilian player in a single season, and is a candidate for the Golden Boot. More importantly, he is a key figure in all aspects of Brentford’s attack.

If Brentford create, he will be the end of it.

At 2/1, sky betting Thiago to score anytime seems like a big price to pay.

Score prediction: 3-2
