The British world champion’s promoter Nakisa Bidalian says Caroline Dubois is the ideal final opponent for Katie Taylor.
The Irish boxing legend is yet to announce his final opponent for his farewell bout, scheduled to take place in Croke Park, Dublin this summer.
Dubois has reiterated her desire to face Taylor after defeating Terry Harper last month, and her promotional team believes this is a “truly heated event” for one of the greats in Irish sport.
Mr Vidalian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions, told Sky Sports News: “We would love to see it happen. I think it all makes sense in the world.”
“When I talked about this at our debut show a few weeks ago, I was speaking to a British audience, and I think the British and Irish would be salivating for a matchup like this.”
“I think this is a global fight, but it’s definitely a fight for Britain, for the opportunity to pass the torch.
“It’s a tough fight for Caroline, but Katie is a phenomenal fighter, but I think a fight with Caroline Dubois in Croke Park is the perfect heated event for Taylor.”
Dubois defeated Harper for a unanimous points victory, with the undefeated 25-year-old adding the WBO belt to his WBC lightweight title.
Vidalian is currently plotting Dubois’ career path, which could result in her clashing with American rival Alicia Baumgardner.
“We are in active discussions to have her back in August,” Bidalian said. “There are multiple routes she can take.
“She has made it very clear that she wants to fight Alicia Baumgardner, and we hope that happens one day. There are other belts in this division that she should unify.
“She’s obviously very young and continues to develop. We think she’s definitely going to be one of the key faces across the sport over the next few years. That’s why we partnered with Sky.”
