Pairings and tee times for the opening round of the 108th PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.

Scottie Scheffler was the pre-tournament favorite to defend his title and win his fifth major, 12 months after finishing five shots behind at Quail Hollow Club and becoming world No. 1 in the first half of the first two-day draw.

Scheffler has finished runner-up in his last three world tournament appearances, including to Rory McIlroy at the Masters, and the American is aiming to become the first player to win back-to-back PGA Championships since Brooks Koepka defended his title in 2019.

McIlroy defended his title at last month’s Masters and is the Northern Irishman who has won the previous two Wanamaker Trophies and is on the other side of a draw to win a second consecutive major.

He will be grouped with Ryder Cup teammates Jon Rahm and Jordan Spieth who could complete a career Grand Slam with a win, with the featured three-ball teeing off at 8.40am local time (1.40pm BST) on Thursday.
