Mojtaba Khamenei said President Trump’s signature was “worthless” and that “bullying” is a core element of US foreign policy.

Iran’s supreme leader has accused the United States of repeatedly violating a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two countries and warned that the United States will suffer “unforgettable lessons” at the hands of Tehran and its regional allies.

On Saturday, a written statement attributed to Mojtaba Khamenei was read out on state television, in which the supreme leader said Washington’s violation of the memorandum last month showed that President Donald Trump’s signature was “totally worthless and invalid.”

“The Archdevil’s repeated violations of the agreement have once again proven that the signature of the President of the United States is now completely worthless and null and void, and that bullying, supremacy, and barbarism are inseparable elements of America’s creed and doctrine,” the statement said.

He added: “At a time when America’s enemies are fomenting war and incurring greater costs and further humiliation, our dear nation of Iran and its resistance front should know that it has an unforgettable lesson.”

The United States dramatically escalated its attacks on Iran this week, targeting civilian infrastructure including bridges, railways and desalination plants.

The Iranian government successfully attacked civilian infrastructure in Kuwait, and the country’s authorities responded by calling for universal electricity rationing.

The war between the United States and Israel against Iran, which began in February, is seen by the country’s senior leaders as an existential threat.

As regional countries continue to seek behind-the-scenes demands for an end to the conflict, the Iranian government shows no signs of bowing to the Trump administration’s increasing demands.

Khamenei said the United States had “revealed its true face” and exposed its “deceitfulness, irrationality, unreliability and evil.”

He called on Iranians to have faith in the leadership to protect the country and urged them to remain “vigilant” and “active” as fighting intensifies.

In recent days, reports have surfaced that Yemen’s Houthis may close the Bab al-Mandeb entrance to the Red Sea in support of their key ally Iran. That would further destabilize global energy markets, raise inflation and put further pressure on President Trump to call off the attack.

This war is extremely unpopular in the United States and is causing economic damage to Americans.

The memorandum of understanding brokered by Qatar and Pakistan and signed last month aims to create the conditions for a permanent end to the war.

But Iran and the United States have since accused each other of violating the agreement and declared it “over.”
