Trump Media & Technology Group’s second quarter revenue was less than $2 million.

Published August 11, 2026August 11, 2026

US President Donald Trump’s media conglomerate reported a net loss of $238 million on revenue of $1.7 million for the second quarter of 2026.

In its latest filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Monday, Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) said the shortfall was largely due to $190.4 million in unrealized losses on digital assets, pledged digital assets, and stock.

Other losses included $11.7 million in “accrued interest” (unpaid interest on loans that is added to principal) and $8.1 million in “stock compensation.”

TMTG announced that sales for the April-June period increased 89% from the same period last year, but losses continued to exceed profits.

Almost all of TMTG’s revenue comes from its “media division,” with $1.43 million coming from advertising and $179,500 from subscriptions, according to SEC filings.

The results result in TMTG’s first-half 2026 net loss of $644 million on revenue of $2.5 million.

TMTG stock, which trades on the Nasdaq under the symbol “DJT,” was down 8% at market close on Monday.

TMTG’s portfolio includes social media platform Truth Social, video streaming service Truth+, and fintech brand Truth.Fi.

Over the past year, the company has expanded into other areas, including cryptocurrencies and market intelligence through its controversial subscription service Truth API, which as of August 1st.

The Truth API gives investors quick access to posts on Truth Social, where President Trump regularly makes market-moving announcements on policy issues such as tariffs and the U.S.-Israel war against Iran.

TMTG Interim CEO Kevin McGahn said on Monday’s earnings call that 10 companies have already signed up for the service, raising concerns about conflicts of interest, and are paying monthly fees of $60,000 to $100,000.

Despite the impact of President Trump’s posts, Truth Social has lagged behind rival platforms like X and Facebook in terms of users since its launch in 2022.

The number of visitors to Truth Social fell by more than a third in July compared to the same period last year, The New York Times reported Monday, citing data from online tracking firm SimilarWeb.
