President Trump once again targeted the aircraft manufacturer, accusing Canada of misconduct and threatening to block sales in the United States.

US President Donald Trump has said that Canadian-based aircraft manufacturer Bombardier can no longer sell in the US unless it starts manufacturing aircraft there.

“Bombardier is no longer selling in the US! Their product is not good enough!” President Trump said in a social media post on Monday. “If they want our market, they have to build here and stop treating America like a ‘piggy bank.'”

President Trump’s comments come amid renewed tensions between the United States and Canada, which have historically had close ties. President Trump has imposed a series of tariffs on Canadian products, prompting retaliatory action.

This is not the first time the US president has targeted Bombardier since returning to office in 2025.

Shares in Canadian aircraft maker Bombardier plunged in January after President Trump threatened to decertify the company’s large-cabin jets and impose 50% import duties on new planes until Canada certifies state-of-the-art planes made by U.S. rival Gulfstream.

“More than 50 percent of their income comes from the United States. They make their living on American buyers, American companies, American airports, American services,” President Trump said Monday. “Canada is blocking our great American banks and businesses across America. They’re even blocking Gulfstream Aerospace from doing business in Canada. Totally unjust and unfair! Those days are over!”
