shares of space x Shares fell for the second trading day on Monday, with Elon Musk’s company nearing its initial public offering price of $135, just days after listing on the Nasdaq 100.

Now, after its first month as a public company, the company’s stock has remained volatile since going public on June 12, and is down about 7% from its initial trading price of $150.

The blockbuster debut, which briefly made Mr. Musk the world’s first trillionaire, was expected to be the first of several other highly anticipated IPOs in the artificial intelligence field. OpenAI and human.

The companies said they secretly filed IPO prospectuses with the Securities and Exchange Commission this summer but have not disclosed a formal timeline or debut plans.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman told CNBC’s Julia Boorstin last week that he doesn’t know whether the company will go public this year.

Last week, SpaceX made its widely watched entry into the Nasdaq 100, bringing a new wave of passive investors to the stock as funds tracking the benchmark index matched the new lineup.

The exchange recently revised its rules for including newly listed companies in its index, allowing space and AI companies to be included within one month of listing.
