Anthropic CFO Krishna Rao leads initial meetings with potential investors ahead of historic initial public offering. But discussions about the artificial intelligence startup were high-level and did not specifically include specific financials or valuations, people told CNBC’s David Faber.

apple CEO Tim Cook yesterday opened a new manufacturing facility in Houston that will produce Mac Minis and offer free training and classes. Mr. Cook was accompanied by a cadre of senior government officials, particularly Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.
Cook said the iPhone maker has spent hundreds of millions of dollars in this space. Lutnick said Apple “can be at the forefront of advanced manufacturing in the United States.”
As CNBC’s Kiff Lesswing and Mackenzie Sigalos point out, the ribbon-cutting comes near the end of Cook’s tenure as CEO. Yesterday’s events may be a preview of what the future holds for Cook, as he plans to continue communicating with policymakers on behalf of the company.
3. Acquisition story

Silver Lake is reportedly in acquisition talks. working day. The human resources software provider’s stock soared nearly 18% yesterday, its biggest single-day gain in a decade.
As CNBC’s Samantha Subin writes, Workday’s stock price has come under pressure amid concerns that AI could disrupt the California-based company’s business model. Workday and Silver Lake did not respond to CNBC’s requests for comment.
The day before, wendy’s Shares rose more than 14% after reports that Nelson Peltz’s Trian Fund Management was making a takeover bid. A representative for Mr. Peltz did not respond to CNBC, but Wendy’s said it would “thoroughly consider any proposal” from the fund.

The Federal Trade Court yesterday upheld President Donald Trump’s removal of the “de minimis” loophole. The three-judge panel said Trump had the authority to revoke the exemption under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act.
A loophole was used to allow goods under $800 to be imported into the United States duty-free. President Trump welcomed the decision. Lawyers for the plaintiffs did not respond to CNBC’s request for comment.
Meanwhile, Trump may also see his name at the Kennedy Center. The board voted to add his name back to the building’s facade, even though a judge rejected an earlier attempt.
5. Hot Deal

blinker international CEO Kevin Hochman believes a key element in Chili’s success is its $10.99 promotion. With this offer, consumers can get entrees, chips, salsa and non-alcoholic drinks.
Hockman told CNBC’s Jim Cramer yesterday that the deal is the foundation of the company’s low-priced products and is key to the chain’s recovery story. Hockman said consumers know they’re getting “amazing value.” The company is focused on getting more customers into its stores as a way to increase sales, rather than raising prices, he said.
