“Ted Lasso” with Tanya Reynolds, Jason Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt is currently streaming on Apple TV.

apple The company on Friday raised the monthly price for its Apple TV streaming service to $14.99, or $119 annually. Previously it was $12.99 per month or $99 per year.

Apple TV is included in Apple One, a bundled subscription that also includes iCloud storage, Apple Music, and other services. The individual price of Apple One has increased from $19.95 to $21.95.

The price increase will bring Apple TV’s price closer to competing streaming services. When Apple TV first launched as Apple TV+ in 2019, it cost $4.99 per month, lower than nearly all rivals.

But Apple TV has added a fair amount of content since then, including the summer blockbuster “F1” and the comedy series “Ted Lasso,” which returned for season four earlier this month.

The adjustment comes after Apple raised the price of Apple Music by $1 a month in July, citing licensing costs.

Apple reported third-quarter services revenue of $30.7 billion, or 12% growth, but the division’s gross margin was down more than 1% sequentially, which the company blamed on differences in product mix and foreign currency headwinds.

In its announcement that Tim Cook will step down as CEO on September 1, Apple said services have been a “key focus area” during his tenure.
