President Donald Trump will award medals to a number of major technology executives, including Elon Musk and Michael Dell, at a science summit on Thursday, CNBC has confirmed.

Mr. Musk led by space x and teslaas well as a recipient of the National Medal of Science. google Co-founder Sergey Brin, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang advanced micro device CEO Lisa Su, according to the White House. Dell and microsoft CEO Satya Nadella will be awarded the National Medal for Innovation.

The event is titled “Science: A New Golden Age Summit.” FOX News was the first to report on the matter.

“The Trump Administration is grateful for the contributions of these incredible leaders in science and technology,” White House Assistant Press Secretary Liz Houston said in an emailed statement. “These award winners are helping ensure America continues to lead the world in innovation.”

The summit comes a little more than a week after President Trump hosted a luncheon focused on artificial intelligence at the White House that included several of these executives and many others in the industry. Trump told reporters after the rally that he had signed a “morally binding” document with technology leaders as calls to slow down AI model development reached a fever pitch.

Each of the honorees at Thursday’s summit has contributed financially to President Trump and the Republican Party’s campaigns and causes in some way.

Mr. Musk was Mr. Trump’s biggest financial supporter in the 2024 election cycle, donating more than $290 million and later leading federal workforce reduction efforts as a special public servant in the Trump administration.

Brin attended Trump’s inauguration and donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Republican National Committee in 2025. Mr. Hwang donated to a fund to build President Trump’s White House ballroom, and Nvidia donated $1 million to Mr. Trump’s inauguration.

Dell has been a longtime donor to Trump. Along with his wife, Susan, he committed $6.25 billion to the Seed for Trump Account, designed to jump-start the savings of American children. AMD also donates to Trump funds.

Trump also bought and sold shares in SpaceX, Tesla, Nvidia, Microsoft, AMD and Google’s parent company Alphabet in July, according to the latest revelations.
