Amazon announced on Thursday two new Bee listening devices, including a wearable and a credit card-sized voice recorder, marking its latest foray into the AI gadget market.
Bee Frontier is an upgrade to Amazon’s existing wearable that can be worn on the wrist or clipped to clothing. Like previous generations, the Bee Frontier has up to seven days of battery life, but it’s also more expensive, costing $75 compared to its $50 predecessor.
In July 2025, Amazon acquired Bee, a San Francisco startup known for its always-on bracelets, for an undisclosed amount. The bee bracelet is equipped with artificial intelligence and a microphone that can record, transcribe, and analyze conversations.
Bee Frontier’s dual microphones have upgraded noise filtering so you can “focus on what’s important and ignore what’s not, even in noisy environments like crowded restaurants or open offices,” Amazon said in a blog post.
Amazon also announced the $100 Bee Eclipse, which works like other Bee devices, but rather than being worn, the credit card-sized gadget attaches magnetically to the back of your smartphone.
Bee Frontier went on sale Thursday, and Bee Eclipse “will be available soon,” the company said.
Amazon is refreshing its Bee lineup as tech companies gear up for the holiday season with a slew of new AI hardware. Amazon has discontinued its affordable Fire family of tablets in favor of three new AI-powered Alexa tablets. microsoft showed off Nvidia– Windows laptop and apple Introducing HomeView smart home hub powered by Siri AI.
The Bee gadget will compete with other AI wearables already on the market.

Meta Smart glasses equipped with AI and a built-in camera are gaining momentum. The glasses also raised widespread privacy and civil rights concerns from users, advocacy groups and lawmakers.
Meta also announced a palm-sized pendant called the Muse Charm that runs the latest Muse AI assistant. Plaud has developed a card-shaped memo device, and Friend offers an AI necklace.
Amazon’s voice-activated Echo smart speaker allowed users to comfortably interact with the Alexa AI assistant, but the device was designed to only start listening when a so-called wake word was requested.
When turned on, your Bee device will always start recording. Amazon says this enables key features such as conversation summaries and the ability to “review memories from the past few days to remember what was discussed.” It can also track “reoccurring trends and themes” to provide personalized goals and actions.
A $12/month Bee Pro subscription gives users unlimited conversation summaries and daily memories, as well as integration with Amazon’s Web Store, Alexa+ AI assistant, and third-party apps.
The company said Bee’s devices are designed so that “no one, including Amazon, can access your data.” Users can delete transcripts and summaries at any time, and “the audio is never saved,” Amazon said.
According to Amazon, an LED light will let you know when your Bee gadget is recording.
