dicks sporting goodsThe sporting goods retailer announced in a press release Monday that it has announced a partnership that will expand Lids stores to 100 Dick’s stores nationwide.
“Our athletes are increasingly looking for new ways to express their favorite teams, their personal style and the latest trends,” said David Ploger, SVP of Licensing at Dick’s. “By partnering with Liz, the leader in licensed headwear, we are able to offer more options to meet the needs of sports, lifestyle and fandom.”
The collaboration is currently available in 46 stores in states including California, Colorado, New York and Texas. The company plans to reach 100 stores by the end of summer 2026.
Dick’s first-quarter profit fell short of Wall Street expectations, as a costly turnaround of the company’s traditional Foot Locker sneaker store weighed on revenue.
Dick’s net income for the quarter was $319.82 million, or $3.54 per share, compared to $264.29 million, or $3.24 per share, in the year-ago period.
