Eligible Trump account holders will begin receiving $250 in Dell gifts starting this week, the Dell Foundation said.
A foundation spokesperson told CNBC that Dell’s grant will be automatically deposited as early as Monday, August 31st. Parents or guardians can check their eligibility for grants through Invest America, a nonprofit advocacy organization affiliated with Dell, and track account activity on the Trump Account app.
“I’m very proud to say that as of this morning, the first funds are already in active accounts for children here in Texas, and soon children across the country will follow suit,” Dell Technologies CEO Michael Dell said Monday at an event in Austin with Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz.

Trump accounts, also known as 530A accounts, are available to any U.S. child under the age of 18 with a Social Security number.
Children born between 2025 and 2028 can receive a one-time deposit of $1,000 from the U.S. Treasury as part of a pilot program designed to jump-start long-term savings.
Michael Dell and his wife Susan have pledged $6.25 billion to provide additional funding for children born between 2016 and 2024 who do not qualify for federal seed money.
Our grants are targeted at low-income children. To qualify, a family must live in a zip code with a median income of $150,000 or less.
The couple’s donation is the largest ever given to children in the United States, according to Invest America.
“Our research clearly shows that when kids have an account in their name, even a small amount, it changes how they see themselves, and that’s reflected in their graduation rates, their homeownership rates, and the businesses they start,” Dell previously told CNBC in an emailed statement.
“This is not just an economic outcome, it’s a mindset shift,” Dell said. “And given that every child is growing up with a sense of ownership in the American economy, the compounding effect it will have on this country over 10, 20, 30 years is tremendous, and that’s what excites Susan and me the most.”
According to the Dell Foundation, this initiative has the potential to provide investment funds for approximately 25 million American children.
Approximately 7 million children have signed up for Trump’s account so far, according to the latest statistics from the Treasury Department.
