On the day of the Fed’s decision, Wall Street expects the Fed to raise short-term interest rates by a quarter of a percentage point. The official announcement will be available on Wednesday afternoon. Interest rate decisions will be announced at 2:00 p.m. ET, followed by a press conference with Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh at 2:30 p.m. As of Wednesday, the yield on 10-year government bonds was 5.006%. The two-year bond yield is 4.671%. The yield on one-year Treasury bills is 4.372%. The yield on the six-month T-bill is 4.213%. The yield on three-month Treasury bills is 4.063%. The yield on one-month Treasury bills is 3.848%. iShares 0-5 Year High Yield Corporate Bond ETF (SHYG) has a dividend yield of 7.09%. The iShares iBoxx High Yield Corporate Bond ETF (HYG) has a dividend yield of 6.05%. State Street SPDR Bloomberg High Yield Bond ETF (JNK) has a dividend of 6.72%. Fidelity Corporate Bond ETF (FCOR) has a dividend of 4.78%. CNBC’s senior economics correspondent Steve Reisman will discuss the decision in full on Wednesday’s “Squawk Box.” US10Y YTD Mountain 2026 10-Year Treasury Yield Retail Sales August numbers will be announced live on “Squawk Box” at 8:30 a.m. The Dow Jones consensus forecast is for a 0.8% rise. Last month, sales unexpectedly decreased by 0.6%, compared to the expected increase of 0.1%. The State Street SPDR S&P Retail ETF (XRT) is down 10% from its August high. Some companies are riding high growth spurts after rising earnings and are leading the way in XRT these days. Signet Jewelers rose 21% in September and is up 12.6% over the past three months. Academy Sports & Outdoors is up 17% this month and 2.4% over the past three months. Best Buy is up 16% month-to-date and 20.5% over the past three months. Some companies are struggling to find their footing. Casey’s General Stores is down 22% this month and about 33% over the past three months. Victoria’s Secret is down 15% this month and 8.6% over the past three months. Burlington Stores is down 12.5% in September and 32.5% over the past three months Lennar reports after the bell Lennar is down 40% last year and almost 5% this month Pulte Group is down 17% from February highs. The stock price fell 5.4% this month. Toll Brothers fell 5.3% last year and 6.5% this month. Hovnanian is down 21% last year and nearly 5% this month. DR Horton is down 18.5% last year and 3% this month. LEN 1Y Mount Lennar in the Past 12 Months Morgan Stanley Annual Laguna Conference Morgan Stanley’s 14th Annual Laguna Conference will be attended by several defense and airline companies. Northrop Grumman is down 2.5% over the past three months and 26.7% since the start of the Iran war. Lockheed Martin has gained 0.6% over the past three months, but has fallen about 19% since the start of the Iran war. L3Harris Technologies is down about 18% over the past three months and 31.5% since the start of the Iran war. United Airlines and Southwest Airlines will also be exhibiting. UAL fell 1% in September and has risen 0.6% since the start of the Iran war. Since the start of the Iran war, LUV has risen about 2% MTD and fallen 20%.
