Another down week has pushed certain individual stocks to levels that may provide some support. The S&P 500 ended the week 0.1% lower, marking its second straight week of declines, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 1.7% in the same period. The move comes amid a whirlwind week for markets overall. Stocks fell earlier this week as global bond yields rose, with the yield on 10-year government bonds hitting a 19-year high. The selloff deepened after the U.S. Federal Reserve raised its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points on Wednesday, but some investors overlooked a shift toward tighter monetary policy. This week’s decline has pushed several stocks into oversold territory. If the Relative Strength Index (RSI) is less than 30, the stock is considered oversold, indicating that the decline may have gone too far and the stock price may rebound. Oversold Boeing entered the list with an RSI of 25. Shares fell more than 5% after CEO Kelly Ortberg warned that it was taking longer than expected for the company’s 737 Max production to stabilize. The stock price has fallen about 9% since the beginning of the year. Bank of America also fell into oversold territory, with the RSI reaching 28. Shares fell 8% this week after CEO Brian Moynihan said investment banking fees are expected to fall by more than 10% in the third quarter. Wynn Resorts was the most oversold stock this week, with an RSI of 17. Shares fell more than 5% this week, hitting a 52-week low of just over $81. The stock price fell about 31% in 2026. Las Vegas Sands, Carrier Global and TransDime were also oversold. Overbought Conversely, some energy stocks, such as Marathon Petroleum, have stepped into overbought territory. If the Relative Strength Index (RSI) is above 70, it means the stock is overbought and poised for a short-term decline. Marathon Petroleum’s RSI is 87, putting it at the top of the list of overbought stocks this week. Shares rose more than 7% this week to a record high of $428. The rise came after oil prices trended higher earlier in the week after Saudi Arabia shut down its East-West pipeline following threats from drone attacks. The stock has risen 161% since the beginning of the year, as the Iran war caused a broad rise in global energy prices. Other energy companies, including Valero Energy and Phillips 66, were also placed on the overbought list.
