STRONG BATTERS As the Major League Baseball playoffs began, President Trump also had a great lineup behind him after an unprecedented meeting on artificial intelligence. The list includes Elon Musk, Jensen Huang, Mark Zuckerberg, and Sundar Pichai. SpaceX stock is down 34% from its high in June, shortly after its IPO. Tesla stock is down 30% from its December high. Nvidia is currently down 4% from its May high. The company announced a major share buyback on Monday. Alphabet has fallen 16.5% from its May high. Meta Platforms is currently down 5% from its recent high. The stock price rose 29% in September. META 1M MOUNTAIN META PLATFORM FOR THE PAST MONTH Cramer’s Banks to Watch After the financial questions, Jim Cramer told viewers to take a closer look at Goldman Sachs. The ‘Mad Money’ man believes David Solomon still has a run for his money and can manage to boost the stock price. The company’s stock price has risen more than 300% since Mr. Solomon took over as CEO eight years ago. If you calculate the total return including dividends, the profit is in the range of 400%. The stock is down 20% from its June 15 high. Mr. Kramer’s timing on the stock was solid. He bought it for a charitable trust in March. The stock price has increased 15% since the day he called. Bank of America and Citigroup are also down double digits from their highs. JPMorgan is down 8.6% from its high. Yields on two-year U.S. bonds hit a 28-month high. The previous trade was 4.879%. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note is at its highest level since 2007, the highest level in 19 years. The last traded price was 5.234%. The yield on the 30-year Treasury note reached its highest level since 2002, peaking at more than 5.6%. US30Y 5D Mountain US 30 Year Yield Big Data for the Past 5 Days Wednesday’s ADP Private Payroll Report: Dow Jones Consensus Calls for 68,000. Last month, the number increased by 38,000. Numbers will be released live on ‘Squawk Box’ at 8:15 a.m. The August Personal Consumption Expenditure Price Index, a key measure of inflation, will be released live on ‘Squawk Box’ at 8:30 a.m. The Dow Jones consensus forecast is for a 0.3% increase from last month. The year-on-year rate is expected to be 3.7%. Big Ag will be reporting live on “Squawk Box” in the morning, with Cal-Maine Foods reporting before the bell. The major egg producer has fallen about 14% in three months. It’s down 30% in one year. Conagra also reports. The stock price rose 1% in three months. It has fallen 30% from its February high. CALM 3M Mountain Past 3 Months Cal-Maine Foods Micron The tech giant will report live after the bell Wednesday on “Closing Bell: Overtime.” CNBC TV’s Seema Modi will have the numbers.
