Here are some companies that are making headlines in intraday trading. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., SpaceX — Elon Musk has confirmed he is in talks with TSMC to help operate his TerraFab chip venture’s Texas factory. Shares of Intel, which also participates in the Terafab project, fell about 2%. TSM stock rose 2% and SpaceX stock rose 6%. Sphere Entertainment — The stock price fell 12% after Craig Hulme Capital downgraded the stock from buy to hold, according to Street Accounts. The company noted that demand for “The Wizard of Oz” is slowing faster than expected, which could jeopardize its forecasts for the second half of 2026 and the first half of 2027. Vaxcyte — Shares rose about 30% after the biotech company announced positive top-line results from a Phase 3 trial of its pneumococcal conjugate vaccine in adults 50 and older. The immune response was comparable to Pfizer’s Prevnar 20 and Merck’s Capxib. Millrose Properties, Lennar — Shares of both companies fell about 6%. On Friday, Hunterbrook Media published a short report questioning the economics of Millrose’s single-family rental investment and Lennar’s potential influence on the company’s strategy. Microsoft — The software giant surged more than 1% on the back of an upgrade purchase from Melius Research. Analyst Ben Reitz said the company has an advantage in artificial intelligence as security becomes a focus. “[Microsoft CEO]Satya Nadella and his team will come to be seen as ‘in-charge’ for security, governance, and perhaps a key cog in the early stages of the ‘AI CYA’ strategy,” he wrote. BRAZIL STOCK — The group rallied after the first round of elections on Sunday showed right-wing presidential candidate Flavio Bolsonaro beating incumbent Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva by about two points. iShares MSCI Brazil ETF (EWZ) rose 13%. The U.S.-listed shares of Itau Unibanco and Banco Bradesco soared 16% and 19%, respectively. Shares in Mercado Libre, which counts Brazil as one of its main markets, rose 8%. PTC — Shares soared 33% after the software company agreed to be acquired by Schneider Electric for $205 per share, giving the company an equity value of more than $22 billion. The transaction is expected to close by the third quarter of 2027. Wells Fargo — Shares rose 1% after Morgan Stanley upgraded the stock to overweight from equal weight. “Normalization of balance sheet growth should ease funding pressures, stabilize (net interest margins) and increase confidence in the path to higher earnings,” analyst Manan Gosalia said in a note. DraftKings — Shares of the digital sports entertainment and gaming company soared more than 7% after Bank of America upgraded it to buy from neutral. Bank of America’s Julie Huber said her company’s prediction markets are a “win-win,” predicting that prediction markets could generate $400 million in fees in 2027, and market making could generate $200 million to $400 million. Estée Lauder — The beauty stock rose 2% after Barclays upgraded it from equal weight to overweight. The bank said it was bullish on Estée Lauder’s growth and earnings prospects in the coming years. Harley-Davidson — The motorcycle manufacturer’s stock rose about 10% after Citi upgraded it from neutral to buy.
