Stock futures rebounded Sunday night as traders cautiously lowered prices after last week’s decline in stocks linked to developments in artificial intelligence.

Nasdaq 100 futures Added 0.4%. Dow Jones Industrial Average Futures It rose by 0.2%, or 110 points. S&P500 futures It increased by 0.2%.

Stable oil prices early Sunday also provided some support to the stock market.

The S&P 500 fell nearly 2% last week, its biggest weekly decline since late June. The Nasdaq fell 4.5%, ending a four-week winning streak.

Concerns over the health of the AI trade gained attention after CNBC reported that Anthropic’s third-quarter revenue totaled $16.8 billion, citing people familiar with the matter. That’s up from $11.6 billion in the second quarter, but investors have raised concerns about the pace of growth as AI builds.

Neocloud stock Coreweave, which uses large amounts of debt to build data centers and rent them out to tech companies, was at the center of these concerns. The AI-related company plunged 25% last week, its biggest single-week decline since November 2025. Investors in the corporate bond market have begun to shy away from Coreweave, and the company’s credit default swaps have reached distressed levels.

CoreWeave is not the only company concerned about trends in the credit market. “AI credit spreads and hyperscalers in particular are at their widest levels this year. The last time spreads were this high, the underlying stocks were 15% lower,” Goldman Sachs traders said Friday.

“The expansion across the complex has forced investors to confront what will happen as AI spending growth slows. AI capex has likely peaked, with funding, sustainability, and return on capital being discussed more than the next short-term earnings correction,” they said. “Pessimism is increasing, the market is narrow, and Friday recorded the second-highest put volume (after June of this year).”

Traders were also wary of oil due to increased attacks on ships in the Persian Gulf, as well as trade attacks on energy infrastructure by Ukraine and Russia. Ukraine attacked an oil terminal in St. Petersburg, Russia, on Sunday. Long-term crude oil futures are starting to rise on expectations that disruption to energy infrastructure could continue into 2027.

But on Sunday, both Brent and WTI crude oil futures fell slightly.

This week, heavy earnings announcements from major companies such as Metaplatform and Tesla have sparked optimism that the results will stabilize the market.
