Eligible Trump Account Holders Will Start Receiving Donated Stock space x According to Friday’s X Post, next month’s inventory is.
“Robert and I are thrilled that our gift of over 2 million SpaceX shares will be distributed to our children’s Trump accounts in December!” President and COO Gwynne Shotwell wrote in the post.
The gift from Ms. Shotwell and her husband will each give a share to nearly 2 million Trump account holders between the ages of 11 and 17 who live in ZIP codes where the median household income is less than $57,000, or where the median household income is too small to be reported by the U.S. Census Bureau. Those families should be notified by Monday, Shotwell wrote to X.
“In the coming weeks, additional gifts will be determined for eligible children ages 11 to 17 of military families serving overseas, children in foster care, and even more children with MFIs of $90,000 or less who live in counties near our homes in the great state of Texas,” she also wrote.
Parents and guardians can check their eligibility for donations through Invest America, a nonprofit advocacy group, and track account activity on the Trump Account app.
Trump accounts, also known as 530A accounts, are available to any U.S. child under the age of 18 with a Social Security number.
Children born between 2025 and 2028 can also receive a one-time $1,000 bond from the U.S. Treasury.
Other funding may also be available depending on specific criteria. In another funding announcement in October, Elon Musk wrote in a post on X that he intended to give SpaceX stock to every child in America in 2027, which could also be offered through Trump’s account.
In late September, the U.S. Treasury Department introduced interim regulations allowing holding of individual stocks donated to Trump accounts, a change from previous guidelines that allowed only diversified, low-cost index funds.
The move to allow stock donations could pave the way for larger philanthropic donations, Internal Revenue Service CEO Frank Bisignano said on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” on Oct. 8.
Bisignano announced his donation to his Trump account on Oct. 29 for eligible children ages 2 to 8 who live in Bisignano’s hometown zip code of 11234, according to the Bisignano Family Foundation.
