shares of Oracle Japan Co., Ltd. Shares soared more than 7% on Friday after the company reported record fiscal first-quarter sales and profits as its cloud business posted strong growth.

The gains in Tokyo contrasted with a more than 3% overnight drop in U.S.-listed Oracle shares after the company issued a “force majeure” notice related to a data center project in New Mexico.
