A little more than a month ago, Anthropic and AI infrastructure provider Nscale announced a $45 billion computing deal. Now the two may be trying to do it again.
The two companies are said to be about to announce another $45 billion in computing deals, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter. Sources cautioned that negotiations are still ongoing and details are subject to change.
If the deal goes through, it would be the latest in a long line of big computing deals Anthropic has struck over the past year. TechCrunch reached out to Nscale and Anthropic for more information. We will update this article if we receive a response.
The huge amount of money being poured into AI computing deals has spooked some investors, who worry that companies are spending too much money for too little return. Still, Anthropic has driven these partnerships with the belief that it all pays off in the end.
Both Anthropic and Nscale are also currently pursuing IPOs. Anthropic still plans to go public by the end of the year. Nscale is also seeking to go public, but Bloomberg reported today that it has faced investor backlash over its proposed $30 billion valuation.
