Luke Littler admitted he was “shaky” and “nervous” after being tailed by a photographer just two days after passing his driving test.

The world darts champion was driving to see his girlfriend when he noticed paparazzi following him on the highway.

“I was being followed on Wednesday,” Littler said.

“I got off at the last exit on the highway, and since I was getting off very late, so was he.

“I think I did about three U-turns and he did the same thing.

“I was shaking and nervous. I had been driving for two days and was being followed on the highway.”

On Monday, Littler posted a photo on Instagram showing off his new BMW and driver’s license with the caption, “Stay at an inn for the first time or without minors.”

However, the world number two later clarified that the post was meant to prevent paparazzi from profiting from the situation.

“That’s why I posted the car so he wouldn’t be able to sell his pictures,” Ritter said.

“I know it’s their job, but when they were following me on the highway, it was so busy and I was nervous.

“That’s why I posted the car so he couldn’t do anything.”

Littler’s focus will now turn to the Grand Slam of Darts at Wolverhampton, which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports on Saturday afternoon.

The 18-year-old is hoping to retain his title after winning last year. Lifting the title will see him take over the number one spot on the PDC Order of Merit from Luke Humphries.

Sky Sports will once again be home to the World Cup of Darts, World Matchplay, World Grand Prix, Grand Slam of Darts and more. Stream darts and other top sports now
