Anthony Joshua was injured in a car crash in Nigeria that killed two people.

According to the Ogun State Police Command, Joshua, 36, sustained minor injuries when the Lexus SUV he was riding in collided with a parked truck.

According to the US Federal Traffic Safety Corps (FRSC), the Lexus is suspected of being driven over the speed limit and losing control while passing.

The crash occurred around 11 a.m. in Macun, about 30 miles from Lagos.

Footage posted on social media shows Joshua in pain and dazed as he is rescued from the wrecked vehicle.

Britain’s former world heavyweight champion, who was in the back of a car carrying four other adult men, was pulled from the wreckage by a crowd of onlookers.

The footage shows Joshua wincing in pain, although he is conscious.

Police confirmed that Joshua was taken to hospital and are investigating the cause of the accident.

Two people were confirmed dead at the scene. Those details have not yet been released.

The other two passengers were not injured, FRSC said.
