Meta is debuting its latest artificial intelligence model, Muse Wonder, and says it’s the most advanced option to power your digital assistant. But it’s not free.
To access this model, Muse Personal Agent app users must sign up for a $20 or $100 monthly subscription. This release highlights Meta’s efforts to create new AI-driven revenue streams outside of its core online advertising business.
Alexandr Wang, head of Meta AI, said in an interview on Monday that the company developed Muse Wonder (codenamed Watermelon) to improve the ability of “individual and professional agents” to avoid tripping over tasks such as making dinner reservations and checking availability.
“When you perform any real-world task, you’re going to run into failures, problems, and various setbacks,” Wang said. “We specifically tried to train the model in a way that allows us to try other approaches instead of having the model stop and ask the user at any time.”

Mehta said in a blog post that the latest model “offers the strongest protection to date” against “cyber exploitation.” These protections only come with paid models for now.
The muse shot to the top apple’s App Store after Meta introduced its AI agent app last month. The app is free, but a subscription plan is available for further usage.
Wang said Muse’s AI team monitors agent-related “incidents and issues” in Muse to understand and resolve issues. Some users have complained on social media that agents accessed their private messages without their permission, which the company disputes.
Wang said Meta is trying to better inform people how to use the app to avoid certain issues.
“I think there are certainly instances where users may be allowing various communications and other things early on in the conversation and then forget about it,” Wang said. He added that the company is educating users on such matters “so that consumers can continue to trust the product.”
Muse Wonder will also be available to programmers who pay to access the company’s associated metamodel API. Wang said this will cost more than a standard subscription because it’s a “much larger model, frontier level.” He said the price will still be “significantly below” major models from OpenAI and Anthropic.
Muse Wonder Full, an even more powerful version of Meta’s latest model, is available only to developers who sign up for the company’s software engineering-focused Muse Code AI agent with a $50 or $200 monthly subscription plan.
