Anthropic told investors it is gearing up for its long-awaited initial public offering, reportedly scheduled for November, and will report third-quarter sales of $16.8 billion, according to people familiar with the matter.

Sales came in at $4.7 billion in the first quarter, up from $11.6 billion in the second quarter, the people said, adding that Anthropic said it was profitable on an adjusted basis in the third quarter.

The company also told investors that it returned $1.70 for every dollar it spent on computing power in the third quarter, making it cash flow positive, according to the Financial Times. Investors expect Anthropic’s annual sales to reach $110 billion by the end of the year, according to the Wall Street Journal.

CNBC previously reported that Claude’s maker planned to disclose its third-quarter financial results for the first time in a meeting with potential investors, including institutional investors, citing two people familiar with the matter.
