By deploying mass market strategy, Xpeng exceeds 40,000 monthly deliveries

Although most electric car manufacturers in China have experienced ups and downs, Spen Over the past 12 months, it has slowly and steadily built momentum without falling once this year. This is a rare streak in China’s highly competitive EV market.

Xpeng continued its winning streak throughout the year, delivering 42,013 vehicles. This is the second time this year that the company has sold more than 40,000 units.

The latest 40,000 mark was achieved after the Mona series was released in late August and began distribution in September. Xpeng reported monthly totals for its namesake and Mona brand cars, but there was no breakdown of global and Chinese sales.

The Mona series is Xpeng’s mass-market brand, with models such as the M03 sedan priced at just 119,800 yuan ($16,812), or 155,800 yuan when equipped with more advanced assistance features.

Xpeng’s steady rise increases pressure on Elon Musk tesladeliveries fluctuated amid a crowded EV market.

Chinese EV maker takes on Tesla

According to data from the Passenger Car Association, Tesla China has recorded mixed performance in the past three months alone, with overall sales reaching 67,886 units in July, 83,192 units in August, and 71,525 units in September.

Wholesale results for October have not yet been released, but the sales data highlights Tesla’s vulnerability to price competition and China’s crowded EV market.

Among China’s top performers are BYD delivered 436,856 units in October, maintaining its lead and exceeding 300,000 units this year. This is a new record for 2025, but sales are down 12.7% compared to October last year.

This comes as the electric vehicle giant posted its steepest profit decline of 32.6% year over year, according to a third-quarter earnings statement released last week.

After sales exceeded 60,000 units for the first time in September, Leap Motor delivered 70,289 units in October, an increase of 5.5%.

Meanwhile, the Huawei-backed Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (which includes brands such as Aito, Chery, and Maextro) delivered 70,289 units in October.

Nioh recorded 40,397 deliveries in October, with growth across all its brands: the premium ‘Nio’ brand and the lower-priced Onvo and Firefly brands. The company’s flagship brands led the increase, increasing from 13,728 units to 17,143 units, nearly matching Onvo’s record of 17,342 units.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi maintained shipments of over 40,000 units, although the exact number was not disclosed. lee auto The number of units delivered was 31,767 units, a decrease of approximately 6.4% from the previous month. The decline comes after a slight recovery after a marketing misstep last month.

geelyZeekr, owned by the company, had the lowest number of deliveries at 21,423 units, slightly higher than the 18,257 units recorded in September.
