Let’s check out the companies that are becoming a hot topic for after-hours trading. Nvidia — The artificial intelligence favorite beat expectations on both lines in the second quarter, reporting that revenue more than doubled and rose 4%. NVIDIA’s adjusted earnings were $2.22 per share on revenue of $96.22 billion, compared to analysts’ consensus estimates of $2.10 per share and revenue of $92.17 billion, according to LSEG. The company expects third-quarter sales to rise to $108 billion, also better than expected. Salesforce — The maker of customer relationship management software soared 12% post-market after the company reported second-quarter revenue of $11.35 billion, compared to the consensus estimate among analysts of $11.32 billion, according to LSEG data. Investment gains pushed earnings to an adjusted $5.90 per share, more than double the same period last year. If the current price gains hold, Salesforce will add 160 points to the Dow Jones Industrial Average on Thursday. Okta – Shares rose 19% after the company’s second-quarter results beat analysts’ expectations. Okta reported adjusted earnings of $1.05 per share for the quarter on revenue of $805 million. That beat the 97 cents a share and $795 million in revenue expected by analysts surveyed by LSEG. The company also raised its full-year profit and revenue outlook. Agilent Technologies — The medical technology stock rose 4% after a better-than-expected third-quarter earnings report. Agilent reported revenue of $1.88 billion, compared to the $1.84 billion expected by analysts surveyed by FactSet. CrowdStrike Holdings — Shares rose 10% after the global cybersecurity company beat consensus on revenue and earnings per share. As for the outlook for the third quarter, the company’s earnings per share are in line with expectations and revenue estimates are ahead. Everpure — The storage provider’s stock rose about 2% after beating Wall Street’s second-quarter outlook. Everpure’s earnings, excluding items, were 70 cents per share, or $1.19 billion. That compares with FactSet analyst estimates of 58 cents per share and $1.1 billion, respectively. Veeva Systems — Looking at both segments on a non-GAAP basis, the cloud solutions stock rose 8% in the second quarter, beating expectations. Veeva also shared higher than stated guidance for the current quarter and full year. Urban Outfitters — Shares fell 3% even though the retailer reported second-quarter profit and revenue in line with consensus estimates, according to FactSet. The company’s adjusted earnings per share were $1.72, which does not include one-time gains from tariff refunds. Synopsys — Engineering Solutions shares fell 2% despite the company raising its full-year revenue and profit forecasts. The company expects sales to be in the range of $9.69 billion to $9.74 billion.
