Rivian Automotive on Friday reaffirmed its 2026 auto delivery guidance after reporting a 46% year-over-year increase in the third quarter, beating Wall Street expectations.
The electric vehicle company reported deliveries of 19,248 vehicles from July to September, up from 13,201 vehicles delivered in the same period last year. Wall Street had expected 18,000 units, according to average estimates compiled by FactSet.
Rivian’s delivery forecast for 2026, which was raised earlier this year, is now 65,000 to 70,000. To achieve this goal, the company will need to increase deliveries by at least 20.5% from the third quarter to the fourth quarter, to 23,193 vehicles.
The increase in deliveries comes as the company continues to ramp up production of the entry-level Rivian R2 SUV, which was launched earlier this year as a smaller, cheaper sibling to its flagship R1 SUV.
