Big Data About the Large Edition of ‘Squawk Box’ All of this will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET. Becky Quick, Andrew Ross Sorkin, and Joe Kernen know the numbers and instant reactions of the stock and bond markets. There will also be a deadline for weekly initial unemployment claims. The Dow Jones consensus forecast is 200,000. The September Producer Price Index, another important inflation indicator, will be released. Economists polled by Dow Jones expect the PPI to rise 0.6% on a monthly basis, or 5.5% from a year ago. Retail sales data will also be released at 8:30 a.m., with the Dow Jones consensus forecast for a 0.4% increase. Taiwan Semiconductor will report on a “wake-up call” at 2 a.m. ET, with details to be announced at 5 a.m. ET. The stock is up 2.3% in three months. The stock has fallen 12% from its all-time high earlier this month. TSM 3M Mountain Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing in the Past Three Months Major Energy Stocks Hit Record Highs ConocoPhillips: Up nearly 14% in October. Chevron: Shares are up nearly 9% in October. EOG Resources: Up 12% in October. Phillips 66: Up 16% in October. Marathon Petroleum: Shares rose 22% in October. ExxonMobil: The stock is up nearly 9% so far this month. The entire list is up at least 4% in the past three days. Home builders are at a low DR Houghton is at a 15-month low. The stock price has fallen nearly 15% in one year. Pulte Group is at a 15-month low. The stock price has fallen 12% in one year. Lennar hit a four-year low. The stock price has fallen about 40% in one year. The average interest rate for a 30-year fixed mortgage is currently in the 7.4% range. Michael Rehaut, a prominent housing analyst at Melius Research, told Squawk Box last week that interest rates are an issue, but so are consumer confidence, weak employment conditions and a higher-than-usual supply of existing homes on the market. Over the past 12 months, DHI 1Y Mountain DR Houghton International Flavors & Fragrances The company, which makes everything from perfumes to food flavorings, hit new highs. International Flavors & Fragrances’ stock price has not been this high since December 2024. The stock is up 50% from its 52-week low in October of last year and is up about 6% over the past three days. Skydance stock fell to $6.63 a share on Wednesday, but is now trading at just over $7. SKYD 5D Mountain Over the past 5 business days Skydance on track for new all-time highs Mastercard rose 9% in October. Visa prices rose nearly 9% in October. Alcoa stock is down 52% from its June high. AA 3M Mountain Alcoa Stock Price Over Last 3 Months JB Hunt Transport Services Also Reported After Close Stock price fell 17% in 3 months. JB Hunt stock is down 22.5% from its mid-July high. Large trucking companies such as Old Dominion Freight Line and Knight Swift Transportation have seen double-digit declines over the past three months, due in part to rising diesel prices. Tesla announces Roadster, starts accepting pre-orders, CNBC’s Phil LeBeau reports that while the car isn’t supposed to be a huge seller, it’s attracting attention. Fans have been waiting for this for a long time. The stock is down 26% from its December 2025 high. Southwest Airlines holds media day The airline is expected to talk about opening airport lounges. Southwest Airlines stock has fallen 17% in three months. The stock is down 28% from its February high.
